Joining Two Hearts and Four Hands at Two Grand Pianos

Joining two hearts and four hands at two grand pianos, the Naughton sisters created an electrifying and moving musical performance.  Their playing, full of color and imagination, captured the listeners’ hearts, with every mood in the music dramatically and magically expressed.

Last Saturday, the two sisters played Felix Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Two Pianos with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and surrounded the listener with beautiful piano music. They played like two people singing to each other, creating a duet entrancing in a way that no single piano performance could achieve.

While I was very happy and content after the Mendelssohn, the sisters answered their fans applause with an encore, the 24th Paganini Caprice arranged for two pianos. They brought fire to Paganini’s music, and made it dance before the audiences’ eyes like a bonfire in the dark of night.
